The farm.
Quinta das Fontaltas is a historic property located in Resendebetween the Douro and the Demarcated Region of Green wines, com origens que remontam a 1626. Situada numa encosta virada a sul, em frente ao Mosteiro de Cárquere, destaca-se pela produção de vinhos verdes de elevada qualidade, valorizando castas autóctones.
Currently managed by the Namora family, now in its third generation, the estate combines tradition and innovation through sustainable practices, minimal intervention in the vineyard and winery, and a strong connection to the region's terroir. With approximately 25 hectares of land, it is also dedicated to the preservation of natural and historical heritage.
The Namora's Family.
Namora's Family represents the soul and continuity of the tradition of Quinta das Fontaltas, in Resende. For three generations, they have preserved the connection to the land, the wine, and the identity of the Vinho Verde region, combining tradition, innovation, and respect for the terroir.
The project began with Manuel António Valente Matos Namora, whose passion for Resende and wine laid the foundation for the estate’s development. Later, Paulo Manuel Cerejeira Namora led the modernization of the property, focusing on the revitalization of the vineyards and the production of high-quality Vinho Verde.
Today, the third generation is represented by Francisca Barbosa Cerejeira Namora, who carries on the family legacy with a focus on sustainability, wine tourism, and the brand’s international expansion.

Tradition and Innovation.
Quinta das Fontaltas combines tradition and innovation through wine production that respects the terroir and native grape varieties of the Vinho Verde region, while also investing in the sustainable modernization of the vineyard and winery.
For generations, the Namora Family has preserved traditional methods and values, reconciling them with a contemporary vision focused on the quality, authenticity, and continuous evolution of its wines.
The Terroir.
The terroir of Quinta das Fontaltas is distinguished by the unique combination of the cool mountain climate, the sunny exposure of the south-facing slopes, and the different soil types and altitudes of the terraced vineyards.
Located in Resende, on the border between the Douro and Vinho Verde regions, the estate values native grape varieties, producing fresh, aromatic wines with great balance.
Respect for nature and the authenticity of the terroir is present throughout the property's philosophy.
The green wines.
The Vinho Verde wines from Quinta das Fontaltas reflect respect for the terroir and appreciation for the region's native grape varieties, such as Arinto, Loureiro, Trajadura, Avesso and Azal.
With minimal intervention throughout the entire production process, the sunny, south-facing terraced vineyards provide a rich aromatic profile, resulting in fresh, elegant, and excellent wines.
